I didn't know this at the time, but a turning point in my life was sitting in Pachimotonasa - seated forward bend, a position of introspection - I discovered I'd stopped thinking. I settled into my present and connected to the tingly nuances in my body. As I melted over my legs, I felt the desire and responsibility to share my experience.
I started practicing yoga in 2001 while living in San Francisco completing my architecture degree. I immersed myself in Ashtanga for the next 6 years until I fell pregnant and found my way to Hatha Vinyasa Yoga-Which is where I hng out for a couple years before pursuing the Yoga Warrior 200 hr Teacher Training in 2011.
My personal life began to ‘FLOW’ with this new career path; so that my teaching came to include (not co-incidently) preggie yoga, mommy/baby yoga and then to teach children’s yoga.
My personal practice has slowed down, and my teaching, fed by that, now focuses more on alignment and breath. You can expect to hold poses for a while as you build up both body and mental strength.
I think this may be fuelled by my current Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training.
The unlimited potential of Yoga continues to reveal itself as I further my journey of teaching and learning... come join me.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
