Gaenor has been practising yoga for about 12 years and spent time at the Sivananda Ashram in India in 2009. She completed her first 200 hour Teacher Training in the Anusara Method at Shri Yoga in Brisbane Australia in 2015. Anusara is an alignment-focused fairly strong practice.

After leaving Australia to travel she completed another 200 hr TTC in Thailand at Agama yoga in 2016. Agama Yoga is a classical style of yoga focused on the Chakra system and energy flow which lends itself to a very introspective meditative style of practice. Following this she did 5 months of Karma Yoga for Hridaya Yoga in Mexico (Agamas sister school) where she completed a 10 day silent retreat and immersed herself in the beautiful yogic community.

On returning to Agama later in 2016 she completed the 615 hour Therapeutic Yoga TTC using yogic techniques for healing injuries, diseases as well as mental emotional disturbances. This utilises Pranayama, Asana, Meditation and Kriyas, etc.

She has recently settled in Johannesburg and we welcome her to the studio with her unique yoga skillset.
