From my very first yoga class I have been hooked, I hadn’t worked that hard while feeling completely still and grounded ever. The alignment of the poses fascinates me and how making the slightest adjustment can completely change how the pose feels in the body. Since that first yoga class, nothing has been able to keep me from practicing as often as I can. You could say that I practice the Niyama of Tapas (discipline or “heat” that drives you) when it comes to my yoga practice, learning and experiencing the effects permeating into every aspect of my life!

Professionally I am an engineer and I have two small children, my day requires me to multitask a great deal. I’m also a bit of a workaholic so when I am on my mat, it’s a rare time for me to be still and present especially practicing Vinyasa, where the breath brings you into the body and initiates movement. My focus goes from being on my to-do lists to feeling the poses and breath in my body. I look for the beauty and grace in each pose.

Yoga has made such a dramatic change to the quality of my life and health that in 2011, I decided to do Clara's teacher training.  Through my training, my understanding of yoga has become far more intimate and integral and my desire to keep learning and growing in my practice has continued to grow.  Beyond my practice, I now find immense joy in passing on the knowledge that I have accumulated, allowing others to experience stillness and acceptance on their mats.
