Movement has always been part of my life!

After matriculating from the Johannesburg Art, Ballet and Drama school, I went on to dance professionally with Bophuthatswana National dance company for two years. From there I was privileged enough to dance for NAPAC/Playhouse dance company in Durban for a few years until meeting my husband and moving to Dubai in 2000.While performing in all sorts of interesting events, teaching ballet and honing my secretarial skills in Dubai, I discovered Pilates.

I qualified as a STOTT Pilates instructor in London in 2002 and when we returned to Johannesburg continued my love for movement, teaching at the Riverclub Physiotherapy clinic in Johannesburg.

After having my two beautiful daughters Chloe and Bridget, I wanted to share my passion with them too, so I started children's Yoga and qualified with YogaBeez in 2014. I love teaching children about their bodies and how they move and how to take care of them.  It's fun and it's non-competitive. Children need a place to tap into themselves where they can feel safe and where they aren't constantly being compared to others and expected to 'perform'! Through breathing techniques, movement, imagination, they build up core strength and confidence without even realising it!
