For me, yoga is that thing that happens between our imagination and the real world. On one hand we're toning our bodies with poses and flows, on the other we're exercising discipline, emotional control and awareness. And in between these two things is where it gets interesting... in between these two extremes is where we start to observe ourselves and decide what kind of people we're going to be :)

I started doing yoga to supplement my obsessive rock climbing addiction. After foolishly giving myself a climbing injury I started attending Clara's yoga classes on a more regular basis and gradually became aware of the impact a regular practice was having on my life: increased emotional and physical stamina, a more relaxed demeanour towards the “crises” in my life and an improved love life – so, naturally, I decided to stay in it for the long haul :P

Several years on and I've completed the Yoga Warrior Teacher Training program and have started the time honoured tradition of torturing students in my spare time ;)

Currently my interests include going upside down for unspecified periods of time, the occasional prolonged chatturanga and trying to blur the lines between what happens on the mat and what happens off the mat.

See ya in the studio!
