Merchant banking, cycling & time spent with my husband - not necessarily in that order - took up most of the hours in my day.   Except during the few Winter months when my riding crew didn't ride - too cold, too dark, not fun. So I was looking for something to do in those cold, dark Winter mornings. The morning ride went straight past Yoga Warrior.  Humm.  A few yoga classes will be nice, peaceful, calm and easy while the rides aren't happening, so let's try that.   Well, how little did I know?

Roll on a few years... Numerous classes attended in a variety of styles, Clara’s amazing and in-depth teacher training completed and a growing interest with all things related to yoga.

So, merchant banking is still my top time consumer with yoga having eclipsed cycling.  My husband still features - he'll be pleased.

My friends from university are amazed. They say if we'd placed bets 10 years ago as to who'd be a yoga teacher, my name would have been bottom of the list.   Chartered accountants don't teach yoga. They're numbers-orientated, detail people.   Think again...  And think again of a yoga class.  Consider the detail involved in teaching the alignment of all the poses.  Maybe attention to detail is what's needed. And the detail is what I find fascinating about yoga.  There's always one new pose to try out, one new slight adjustment that you can make that will take you to places that you never thought possible and one new suggestion that may arise during your yoga class which may help with your world off the mat.

My Hatha Vinyasa classes will have something to challenge everyone.  Get ready to try out those suggestions, find those new places and together let's see what unfolds.
