Even as a little nine year old Jewish girl growing up in Johannesburg, I knew that there were two things I absolutely loved to do. I loved dancing and I loved learning Hebrew.
After matriculating, I continued to dance with my wonderful teacher and went to study at the Hebrew Teachers Training College. I did a BA degree through UNISA at the same time majoring in Hebrew and Education. After graduating I started teaching at King David High School, Linksfield. I also decided to do my dance teachers exams and did my final exam while pregnant with my first child in 1996.
Over the next few years I taught Hebrew and dancing, had twins and in 2001 had my fourth child. It was around this time when a dancing teacher friend of mine, asked me to go with her to yoga. I could never get to the classes she went to and only in November 2005 did I walk into my first yoga class at the gym. I loved yoga immediately and went to as many classes as I possibly could.
It was at the gym that I met Clara and I followed her to Yoga Warrior.
Yoga adds another dimension to my life, enriching all that I already believe in and all that I love. I feel so grateful to have always been involved with the things that I am passionate about.
Becoming a yoga teacher through Yoga Warrior has been a phenomenal experience and I feel so excited to be teaching yoga. I feel forever grateful to and inspired by all the exceptional teachers I have had on my yoga journey.
