Yoga Warrior Retreat
Turtle Cove, Tofo, Mozambique, Africa
December 17th - 27th 2014
Join Melanie on this expedition to your soul.... Escape for your summer holiday to tropical Mozambique,
one of the most Prana-fied places in Africa, Mozambique
It certainly was a great experience. The yoga retreat was inspiring and highly beneficial. The 10 days allowed focus and dedication on yoga and healthy living. Even though the yogis and yoginis attending were different ages and ability, it seemed that we were all inspired and encouraged to go beyond our usual limits while having the support and individual guidance of Melanie, a superb yoga instructor. The food was great with plenty of delicious fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood. In addition, we had many laughs and made new friends and as the retreat was set at a beautiful location near Tofo beach, we practised yoga twice daily and then spent the rest of the day on the beach - lounging, walking, swimming......

Come join Yoga Warrior on another of their adventurous fantastic Africa yoga holidays. Known for always being in places of natural beauty, this yoga retreat will be on Mozambique's unspoilt coastline where the ocean is teaming with life, the village is laidback and simple, the surf can be cookin', and amidst all of this is a beautiful yoga temple to practice in the balmy African tropics.
Turtle Cove will be home for this yoga retreat and this is Yoga Warrior's 7th visit. Positioned perfectly to catch the off shore breeze, Turtle Cove, a 10 minute sandy walk from unspoilt beaches, is a rustic warm lodge where we will enjoy exclusivity. The lodge and the yoga temple are a blend of Mozambican, Mali and West African architecture. The temple permeates yoga energy and the essence of tranquility.
Melanie will be offering two yoga practices each day which may liberate your practice and enable you to breakthrough to a new level of yoga awareness. Yoga at dawn and dusk is the perfect compliment to a mounting sense of well-being. Receive the fullness of yoga from nature's raw beauty.
Melanie has been practicing all sorts of yoga for the past 12 years: Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Vinyasa, and Forrest…. As varied as all these styles are she believes that our experiences simmer down to the same reduction, the essence of your spirit.
There will be a morning and afternoon practice. The style of yoga offered will be vinyasa. Some of the afternoon yoga sessions will be accompanied with live music!!! The yoga is optional.
Enjoy your days aside from the yoga visiting the beautiful african beaches of Tofo and Tofinho, Mozambique, learning to surf, snorkelling with the gentle plankton feeding giants of the African ocean, whale sharks, or scuba-diving to find the resident manta rays on this african coast. Wander around Tofo enjoying the Afro-Latino ambience or just hang out in the beachside cafes.
This yoga retreat is for you if you truly appreciate rustic. You prefer an ocean breeze to air conditioning, sometimes you love taking a hot shower outside with the sky above, you understand Africa has potholes, you look forward to slowing down and enjoy waiting because you understand everything happens here on real slow Mozambican time. For your piece of authentic Mozambique, come away on this simple yoga retreat.

" It's hard to decide what the best part of this holiday was. The sun, the gentle Indian Ocean waters, the food, the balmy, non-stifling humidity, the seclusion of Tofino beach just around the corner from vibrant Tofo, the improptu jam sessions on the beach, the freely available coconuts - I could go on. Someone once said that wherever you go, there you are. Well with the daily yoga sessions, you greet yourself with a smile everyday and are the best company to yourself. Also these good vibrations are flowing through everyone else who is on the yoga holiday with you, so there are friends aplenty to be made. This holiday is definitely in the top five of the best things I've ever done for myself."
