In the last 6 years I have been blessed to have been taught by some of the top Anusara Yoga Teachers in the world, including John Friend himself (the founder of Anusara Yoga). When Patrick came to Yoga Warrior in 2010 I was so excited to have Anusara being taught in our very own studio. Anusara is incredibly popular overseas and it is hard to get Anusara teachers to come to SA because they are so in demand everywhere else.
When I finally got to be in Patrick's class I was blown away! He is by far the best Anusara teacher I have had the pleasure to learn from (even rivaling John Friend!). Anusara is a very complex system that Patrick makes fun and enjoyable with his charismatic personality. The way he teaches just makes you feel great even when you are working hard to try something new or challenging. I laughed all the way through, but also came out of the workshop with a much deeper connection to my own yoga practice, and of course a renewed love of this incredibly therapeutic, life-affirming and heart-opening style of yoga.
Patrick is an absolutely fantastic yoga teacher.

October 2010 Yoga Warrior hosted Patrick Creelman, the first qualified Anusara Yoga Teacher in Asia. For that weekend Yoga Warrior became a melting pot of teachers and students from all the yoga studios and corners of Joburg. As a yoga community we came together to play and explore together the exhuberant and inspirational anusara style. It was a rich experience, learning and aligning together; Patrick definitely made his mark on Joburg.
