Laila Kuri is a certified Anusara Teacher from Mexico.  She began her spiritual journey through a healing process in 1999, discovering yoga and then immersing herself in Anusara since 2002.  She has studied at the Ramanari Iyengar Yoga Memorial Institute in Pune, India, and with Douglas Brookes, Carlos Pomeda, Mani Ram and David Kyle.  Her Anusara journey has involved crossing seas and borders to study with her master teacher, John Friend as well as Sianna Sherman, Anthony Bogart and Kent Lindemer.

In July 2011, Laila is coming to Southern Africa's shores to share the teachings of Anusara in Windhoek, Cape Town and Johannesburg.  Come and say yes to the dance!


Friday , July 22nd
7pm - 9pm

"Say Yes to the Dance!"

A mellow dance that introduces the 5 Universal Principles of Alignment from Anusara Yoga.  We will start by leading the dance with the first principle, "Open to Grace, Open to the Pulsation of your Heart".  From there, we will enjoy a sweet and soft backbending Anusara practice that will lead you deep in to meditation where you will witness the recognition of joy in your heart.

 

Saturday, July 23rd
9.30am - 11.30am

"Set the Foundation of the Dance"

A delicious full Universal Principles of Alignment practice that will clear the dance floor of your body thru tasty standing poses, hip openers and fantastic backbends.

2pm - 4pm

"Let's do the Twist Dance"

In the afternoon, learn how to squeeze the nectar in your body that will make the dance shine.  A full practice of twists and forward bends that will allow the pulsation to pause so you can feel and explore the essence of your heart.

 

Sunday, July 24th
10.30am - 12.30am

"Dance with your Feet, Dance with your Hands"

A stable practice of standing postures and hand balances that will flow you safely through the Universal Principles of Alignment.  Dance with passion, strength and love....just cause it's fun!
