Each child walking the earth is a gift and a beautiful, special soul. By granting them the ability to practice yoga we are helping them tap into their unlimited potential, and providing tools to help them cope with the stresses of daily life.
In a typical class, children will be guided through age-appropriate breathing techniques, stretching, exploration of yoga movements and yoga games. Classes end with visual imagery and relaxation, helping children discover the power of quietening the mind and body.
Research shows that children who practice yoga-based movement, conscious breathing, and mindfulness activities are better able to regulate their emotions, decrease stress and anxiety, increase focus, concentration skills and self-esteem. The studies also illustrate that centered, calm and focused children learn more easily, have better social skills and, in general, are much happier children.
